Having a strong foundation of experience and knowledge in your line of work are the building blocks to success and better decision making. Creative Director and Designer, Katie Tague, reinforces this concept of a strong foundation with her design classes. In her Garment Washes: Knit & Woven Class you will spend a day testing your knowledge of textiles and textile applications from fiber to finish, and in the following day applying all of that information with your own creative twist.
During this two day course, you can actualize how your product comes to life with demonstrations of creating whiskers on denim, stone washing, and more. As a designer you’re responsible for creating and imagining your idea, but how do you produce it? That’s the challenge and purpose of this course. You will make thoughtful choices and use the proper verbiage to execute your idea. Watch the transformation and process of garments that I was able to bring to life in the following images from taking Katie’s Garment Washes: Knit & Woven Class.
